Dinette set ordered 4/26 recieved 6/9 a peice was missing not notifyed it was damaged it is now 6/14 the peice is not sent Ripoff

I recently moved into a larger house my husband and I are expecting our first child. After moveing I realized I needed a dinette set. This was very important to me I wanted to make sure I had it in time of our baby's baptism.

I am a well prepared person. I ordered a set I liked off of a web site www.directfurniture.com. On the companies web site it says "Eliminate the middleman and buy direct". The company also had free shipping to anywhere in the USA which i though was wonderful it also stated it ships with in 7-21 days and if they find an unusal delay for your order they will notify you.

Day 19 after ordering the dinette set i was not notifyed that the product was shipped yet. With the concern of fraud I contacted the company and spoke with a chris. Chris told me my item is ready to be shipped.

Day 20 I recieved an email stateing my item was shipped and normal deilvery time was 21 days. I thought to myself 20 21=41 days which I thought was a long time to ship something from illinois to pennsylvania but I was ok with it.

Day 40 I called and spoke with john I stated to him I did not get a call yet to set up delivery time I was frustrated at the time and I asked for my money back john stated if I cancelled my order I will have to pay requried costs. After speaking with john further he contacted their shipping company he called me back and stated I will recieve it no later then friday.

Day 43 That friday I called because I still didnt recieve a phone call reguarding deleivery. John called the shipping company and I was told it would be delivered that following thursday

Day 46 I get a phone call stateing my dinette set will be delivered tommorow I thought to myself finally my frustration is over. My husband and I get up early and wait for the delivery. We then recieved a phone call asking for directions to our house my husband stated didnt you go on map quest they claimed they could not get our address. Finally the delivery men arrive they set down the boxes (dont put the furniture together like I was told was in the service) and I relize a peice was missing I asked the delivery men where it was they did not have a response they told me to contact direct furniture.

Angry I called to ask them where this peice was I spoke with I believe her name was brenda, she did not know what was going on she stated she will try to find out and hopefully get back to me by the end of the day.

2 Hours later upset I called and asked to speak with the manager. The manager was unavaible I spoke with a kathy, kathy insured me my concerns will be addressed so I told her my story.

A half hour later Kathy returned my called she stated she spoke with excel trucking and they stated they called me to notify me the peice was damaged (I never got to see the damaged peice). I stated i was nt notifyed I stated that makes cense why the peice was nt delivered. Kathy then stated the peice was in route and I will recieve it with in 5 days.

Day 51 I called and left a msg for kathy asking her if she heard anything about my peice.

Day 52 Kathy did not return my call I called to speak with the manager again he was not available. So I spoke with a Megan, Megan not aware what was going on asked me if the peice was ordered. Angry I stated I was told it was in route and I whould recieve it in 5 days. After being placed on hold Megan stated thats impossible because the peice is in maryland. Megan then told me I should get a call by the end of the week to set up a delivery time. How do you like that I should get a call.

Well needless to say I still dont have that peice I spent well over a thousand dollars for this set. I dont know when I will recieve this peice or if I ever will. I had to write this much to show you the frustration I inquired. I dont ever want anyone to go through this. And now I sit here wondering if I will have this peice in time for my baby's baptism.
