My husband and I purchased Furniture on January 19 at the time of order Danielle Harper (sales associate) of Patriot furniture informed us that all the furnitures were all in stock, thats why we went ahead and fulfilled the transaction and paid a by check in the amount of $1,168.02 invoice no. 35532. Patriot failed to deliver all the items we had paid for and gave us a wrong head board. I called and ask for refund for the missing merchandise and was told to just go to the store and we would get our refund for the furniture that Patriot failed to deliver.
My husband went to the store and was treated in a hostile and threatning manner. Mr. O'Dell sales manager told my husband he's not intitle for a refund (a direct contradiction to Danille's testimony) and when my husband insisted for the refund Mr. O'Dell grabbed him in a hostile offensive, and threatning manner, also called the police saying that my husband was the one who's hostile. We stayed and waited for the police and followed their advice we filed a statement, and Patriot file and the police issue a warning for criminal tresspassing, how can it be a tresspassing if he is a customer? All he/we wanted is our furniture or the refund.
I had called numerous times and spoke to Danielle and had been given run arounds prior to the above incident, I had written to BBB, but Patriot contradict our claim, we had written to the Army Liason of Consumer Affaris and followed their advice and was told we had a case. We hire a lawyer which financially draining us, because the process is very slow, and had our complaint forwarded to Atty. General and still waiting for an answer.
Furthermore, Last month when Patriot found out that we had a case they file a claim for criminal tresspassing to my husband but never read him his Miranda Rights, and we had to pay fine etc. Can they do that? After it's been months since the warning? I hope that people who read this can learn from this story & complaint, my husband served the U. S Army, and we have children, and this matter woul'd have been resolved if Patriot just give us our refund or our furniture instead of giving us run-around.
