On December 14 Terry Spivey came to my home after I had called and spoke with him about doing some repairs to my bathroom floor. We sat down and discussed the total amount and payment options. After agreeing on a total amount of $3000.00 plus $200.00 interest and a $1000.00 deposit to begin work in my home, I wrote out a personal check in that amount ($1000.00). He was to begin work within three days. He never showed up.
After a number of attempts to contact Terry Spivey, I finally went to our local Sheriff Dept. And took out a warrant, only to be told several weeks later by them that because he lived in a differrent state, there wasn't anything they could do unless he was caught doing business in the state I lived in.
Terry Spivey has lied to me several times about giving the money back to me but never showed up with it. Something must be done about him and his illegal practices. I'm sure I was not the only one he stole money from.
