I bought a new hp laptop in aug. 2012 with the understanding I could upgrade from windows 7 to windows 8 when it came available. My computer crashed a couple weeks ago. After talking for 2 days to hp, a rude supervisor was put on to the phone. I was told it was my fault for downloading windows 8, that came as a free download, and they will not honor their warranty. They even had the nerve to try to sell me an extended warranty on an useless computer. Shame, shame. I am owed a new computer or a repair of my computer.
