United Lending Services Complaints
United Lending Services Co. (ULSC) was an online loan-matching service for people with bad credit. It said it was not a lender or a broker, charged a one-time fee of $29.95 to show matched lenders and promised a refund within 90 days if no loan came through. Its website is no longer online. United Coast Lending, a debt-consolidation loan website on a domain registered in 2025, has a similar name, but no public record links the two; it operates under its own company name, phone number and terms.
Company Information
- Business type
- Online loan-matching service for borrowers with bad credit that charged a one-time fee to see matched lenders; operated as United Lending Services Co. (ULSC) in 2012-2013, website no longer online
Legal entity. Neither the company's profile page nor its 2013 press release names a state of incorporation, a registration number or the people behind the business. The only address it gave is 244 5th Avenue, Suite 200, New York, NY 10001, which the profile page describes as a mailing address.
Status. The website unitedlendingservices.com is no longer online. The Verisign domain record shows a registration date of September 24, 2026, long after the company's last known activity, and a "client hold" status, under which the domain does not resolve. The current registrant is not public.
United Coast Lending. No public record links this similarly named business to United Lending Services Co. Its website, unitedcoastlending.com, markets debt-consolidation loans ("Simplify Your Debt With One Low Monthly Payment") and lists the phone number 800-287-4180 and the email [email protected]. Its Terms and Conditions, with an effective date of May 1, 2025, say the site "is owned and operated by United Coast Lending Inc.", that "We may receive compensation for referrals" and that the Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. The site footer calls it "an independent, advertising-supported service", and its privacy notice says United Coast Lending "is affiliated with Above Lending, Inc. and others". The Verisign domain record shows unitedcoastlending.com was registered on October 1, 2025. United Lending Services Co. described itself as a New York-addressed loan-matching service that did not lend; United Coast Lending presents itself as a Texas-law debt-consolidation loan service with a listed phone line.

The ULSC website is gone. The company's website, unitedlendingservices.com, is no longer online: the domain record shows a new registration in September 2026 and a "client hold" status, and the address does not resolve. The company listed only an email address for support, [email protected], and stated "Phone Number: Not Listed" on its own profile page, so there is no working way to reach it directly.
Disputing a charge. One complainant's bank statement shows the charge as "UNITED LENDING SER". Your card issuer or bank is the place to dispute it. For a credit card, the FTC explains that under the Fair Credit Billing Act a written billing-error dispute must reach the issuer "within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent to you". For a debit card or a direct withdrawal from a bank account, the CFPB says to notify your bank within 60 days after it sends the statement showing the unauthorized withdrawal. One complainant reports that the card issuer reversed the fee after a dispute. A fee charged in 2012 or 2013 is far outside these windows and can no longer be disputed under these rules, but it can still be reported (see below). A new charge under this name is a different matter: since the company's own website is offline, dispute it with your issuer or bank and report it right away.
Reporting. You can report a loan or loan-matching fee you paid at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and file a complaint about a financial product or service with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at consumerfinance.gov/complaint. Because ULSC gave a New York address, the New York Attorney General also takes consumer complaints online at ag.ny.gov or through its help line, 1-800-771-7755. The FTC's page on advance-fee loans warns: "Banks and other legitimate lenders won't promise or guarantee you a loan or credit before you apply."
Calls or offers from United Coast Lending. United Coast Lending is a similarly named business that no public record links to ULSC (see Company information). Its privacy notice says that to limit sharing of your information you can call 800-287-4180 or email [email protected]. The consent text under its application form covers automated calls and texts "even if you have listed yourself on any Do Not Call list", and also says consent "is not required as a condition to use this service", so you can decline it. You can register your number for free at donotcall.gov; the FTC notes it can take up to 31 days for sales calls to stop, and unwanted calls can be reported at DoNotCall.gov.
What complainants reported about United Lending Services
37 published complaint reports are linked to this profile. The reports are dated from September 2012 to September 2013. They are the complainants' own accounts and have not been verified.
Other complaint databases. BBB's business directory shows no profile for United Lending Services or United Coast Lending, and the CFPB Consumer Complaint Database shows no complaints against either name. CourtListener lists no federal case with United Lending Services or United Coast Lending as a party.
What the complaints describe. A fee paid to see matched lenders, most often $29.95, with other complainants naming $31.95, $34.95, $35 or $39.95. A loan described as "guaranteed" that did not come through. A list of banks, credit unions and lenders that complainants say they had already applied to or could have found themselves. Refund requests that went unanswered, including from people who say they sent at least five lender denial letters, which they say the refund terms on the company's website required. No phone number and no reply to email. A few complainants describe the charge as unauthorized. One complainant reports that a dispute through the card issuer reversed the fee.
How the ULSC loan-matching service described itself
The service. On a "Business Profile & Review" page that says its information was provided by the company, United Lending Services Co. described itself as an internet-based loan-matching and information service aimed at people with bad credit, and stated that it "is not a lender or a broker". It listed the loan types it could match people to: personal, home equity, mortgage, payday, cash advance, auto, military, holiday and unsecured loans. In other words, ULSC did not lend money itself; it sold access to a list of lenders that might consider an application.
The fee and the guarantee, in the company's words. The same page lists "Service Fee: One-Time Fee of $29.95 if matched to lenders" and "Refund Policy: 90-Day Money Back if matched and customer cannot get a loan". It describes the steps: the applicant fills out a short application; if lenders can be matched, the applicant is told and offered the option to proceed; the customer then pays the one-time fee to see the lender information in an online account. A press release the company published on PRLog on April 10, 2013 says it "reports that 95% of loan seekers are matched to loans" and that "if you cannot get a loan using their service, they fully guarantee your money back". These figures are the company's own claims. The profile page also rates the business itself, with lines such as "Business Legitimate: Yes" and "Address Confirmed/Valid: Yes"; these are statements on a page supplied by the company, not findings by an independent body. It carries three short user comments praising the service, one of which says the guarantee was honored with a full refund.
Address and contacts. The press release and the profile page give the address 244 5th Avenue, Suite 200, New York, NY 10001 (the profile page calls it a mailing address), the email [email protected] and customer service hours of Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM and Friday 9 AM to 4 PM Eastern time. The profile page states "Phone Number: Not Listed".
Frequently Asked Questions
What was United Lending Services?
United Lending Services Co. (ULSC) described itself as an internet loan-matching and information service for people with bad credit and said it was "not a lender or a broker". It charged a one-time fee, listed as $29.95, to show the lenders it had matched to an applicant, and its website is no longer online.
How much did United Lending Services charge?
The company's profile page lists "One-Time Fee of $29.95 if matched to lenders". Most complainants report paying $29.95; others name $31.95, $34.95, $35 or $39.95.
What was the United Lending Services refund guarantee?
The company listed "90-Day Money Back if matched and customer cannot get a loan", and its April 10, 2013 press release says "they fully guarantee your money back". Several complainants say the company's website required at least five denial letters from lenders for a refund, and that requests they sent with those letters went unanswered. The company's profile page and press release do not mention this condition. One user comment on the company's own profile page says the guarantee was honored with a full refund.
How can I contact United Lending Services?
The company listed only an email address, [email protected], and stated "Phone Number: Not Listed". Its website is no longer online. For a charge on your statement, go to your card issuer or bank.
Is United Coast Lending the same company as United Lending Services?
No public record links the two; they share part of a name but use different company names, contact details and terms. United Coast Lending's Terms say its website is "owned and operated by United Coast Lending Inc." and governed by Texas law; it markets debt-consolidation loans from a domain registered in 2025 and lists the phone number 800-287-4180. United Lending Services Co. was a New York-addressed loan-matching service active in 2012-2013 that said it was not a lender and listed no phone number.
How do I stop calls or data sharing from United Coast Lending?
Its privacy notice says you can limit sharing by calling 800-287-4180 or emailing [email protected], and its form says consent to automated calls is not required to use the service. Registering at donotcall.gov is free.
Can I still dispute a United Lending Services charge?
Only a recent one. Credit card and bank disputes have 60-day deadlines, so a fee paid in 2012 or 2013 is well past them, though it can still be reported to the FTC, the CFPB or the New York Attorney General. A new charge under this name should go to your card issuer or bank right away. The deadlines and where to report are set out in the section on what to do if you paid.
Has a regulator or court acted against United Lending Services?
CourtListener lists no federal case with United Lending Services or United Coast Lending as a party, and the CFPB Consumer Complaint Database shows no complaints against either name. Consumers who paid ULSC can still report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, to the CFPB at consumerfinance.gov/complaint, or to the New York Attorney General, since the company gave a New York address.
