I'd foot surgery, and purchased a set of Clarks Springers, with Velcro over the base, top and base. I also purchased a set of Dr Scholls, of comparable style. I used the Dr Scholls daily, and also the Clarks for gown. The bottoms of the Clarks have damaged, and therefore are falling apart, as the Scholls continue to be good. I love Clarks shoes, and also have purchased several set, of various style, but may rethink following the poor structure of those shoes. I believe a reimburesment or credit is so as.
PS: If Dr Scholl's bottoms holds up, certainly an infinitely more costly boot like Clarks may come up having a good, longer carrying one.
