Impossible to return gift

Our boy acquired a costly set of trousers from Zara like a Holiday present. I've spent hours attempting to return them without any success. This involved 1) visiting a shop with trousers, unique labels, and return email form. I had been informed the unique bill was needed, despite the fact that it was something special. 2) Calling customer support to determine easily could easily get the bill. I had been advised to contact another quantity after about 10 minutes on-hold. 3) Named another customer support range. Was on-hold 10 minutes before being disconnected. 4) Named back and got through. Was informed the shop must have obtained the trousers back, and may have named to obtain the info themselves. They mightnot provide me the bill when I didn't buy the period. 5) Approached the gift-giver to obtain the bill in case. Ultimately got it and returned towards the shop. 6) Was informed they wouldn't take the return. They require a unique signal that's not about the labels, email return tag, or unique bill.
