Dear Ryan Tennell:
I have spoken to you on several occasions regarding your WALMART, Store #2110, (14501 Lakewood Blvd, Paramount, CA 90723) oil change service performed by Courtesy Technician Sergio 4841 and Lower/Upper Bay Technician Armando 4681; Sunday, October 3. WHERE THE TECHNICIAN LEFT THE OIL CAP OFF AND MY VEHICLE SUSTAIN FIRE DAMAGE on my trip back home to Tennessee with my girlfriend and my one month old daughter.
I feel that your offer is NOT FAIR due to the MISTAKE MADE BY YOUR WALMART STAFF. If this mistake had not happen I would be back a home in TN. My vehicle was kept in good condition and I had no engine problem at all!
I have spent over $1000.00 in towing from Needles, CA area to Bellflower, CA due to WALMART'S ERROR.
This total does not include what we have spent for the extra time that we have been here. Nor include the rent that we are paying for our place by home and not being there! All this due to WALMART'S ERROR!
Prior to your WALMART ERROR my vehicle was in good condition. Kelly Blue Book has my car list for $3285.00 for fair condition. I have found other 94 Ford Explorer for more than what Walmart wants to offer me ($1800.00). YOU SHOULD BE GIVING ME WHAT MY CAR WAS WORTH BEFORE WALMART'S ERROR!
I had new tires put on the car ($225.00) for the trip home. Along with the rotators changed and alignment completed ($300.00). A new system was place in the car prior to our leaving Tennessee ($1200.00). Replaced windshield because something hit car on the way from Tennessee to California ($189.00). These are thing that were done to the car prior to WALMARTS ERROR. The only engine work done on the car before this, was done by the same WALMART Store, an oil change. Check your records.
I feel that your offer of $ 1800 is not fair. I can not purchase another 94 Ford Explorer in good condition with that amount. My asking $ 5000.00, I feel is not asking much. We almost lost our lives, myself, my girlfriend and my 1 month old baby!!! I am disable and fell down the hill trying to get away from the car. Thank God that a young lady and truck driver stop to assist us, Lord knows what could have happen.
The tire changing, system, and windshield being fix are wasted. BECAUSE OF WALMART'S ERROR! Because of WALMART'S ERROR this is why my car is worth $1800.00. I feel that walmart has given me a slap in the face! Along with telling me walmart does not care for their customer's business. MY LOST IS WORTH MORE THAN WHAT YOU ARE OFFERING!
I have always shopped at Walmart because I thought you were always great prices and friendly people, I was and am wrong about my belief in Walmart!
I will not have my car serviced at Walmart again and will tell other about my experience in hopes that people will not have car service performed there. Because if WALMART makes an error, they will not be compensated for their trouble because WALMART does not care for their customers! Walmart does not take responsibility for their mistakes!
I will be sending my letter to the news station, posting it in public places, so that I can let other consumers know what type of reimbursement you give due to your WALMART ERROR that causes a customer to lose their vehicle and their faith in a company!!
