Beware of Torres Motors in Medford Oregon!

I bought a used Jaguar from Torres Motors in Medford Oregon on September 29. I gave them a $2600.00 down payment that day and agreed to make another payment of $2000.00 within two weeks. The next day the check engine light came on with a gearbox fault message and I noticed that the headlights were adjusted so low to the ground that I couldn't even see five feet in front of me. I had the vehicle checked by my mechanic who informed me to try and return the vehicle because it had so many issues including transmission codes and would need to be repaired at an actual Jaguar dealer which is a four hour drive for me. I

Requested a refund and was denied one by Torres Motors owner, Roger Torres Lammi. Torres Motors finally agreed to give me another car which was an Explorer in trade for the Jaguar on October 12.2012. The next day the overdrive light started flashing and the door ajar light would not go off. Roger Torres Lammi stated he would fix the light if I brought the vehicle back within two weeks. Torres Motors is an hour drive from my house. I made another payment of $500.00 on October 20. I noticed hard shifting

And clunking in the rear end of the vehicle and took it to the mechanic where I was informed that it was

Dangerous to drive due to a bad wheel hub. It had many other issues including more drivetrain problems, belt issues, electrical issues and it was estimated that total repairs would cost around $2000.00. I informed Roger Torres Lammi and after many phone calls on October 29 to give me a third vehicle

Which was a Dodge Neon free and clear for the $3100.00 I already had invested. On November 1 I had

The Explorer taken to the dealership and it was taken away by an employee of Torres who said he had to have it checked out by their mechanic before they could give me the Dodge Neon. 45 minutes later another Torres employee showed up and said I would have to come back that afternoon to pick up the vehicle because he had't scheduled an appointment with the their mechanic. I informed him I couldnt come back because I lived so far away and had to be in Roseburg that afternoon. I asked for my keys back and he refused. I

Asked for the vehicle and he refused. He said my warranty company should have to fix the vehicles I buy from them since I opted to purchase a third partty warranty. He refused to give my keys back and refused to divulge the location of the Explorer. I asked him if his warranty company wiould like to know that they are selling faulty vehicles and expecting them to cover the repair bills. He thenn said he had reposessed the vehicle for non payment and then asked my boyfriend and I to leave his property or he would call the

Police. I called the police myself and attempted to report the vehicle stolen. I was told that I couldn't report the vehicle stolen because they have a dealer's license and I have a contract with them. Even though my next payment wasn't due until November 9 I cant report the car stolen and the officer said all I could do was take them to court. On November 3 while picketing in front of Torres Motors the owner, Roger had a woman drive up and give us a letter stating I owed them over $7000.00. The original

Price of the Explorer was $5999.00, I have paid $3100.00 and somehow I owe over $7000.00.
