I purchased a used vehicle from Woody Buick/GMC for $8000. I was told this was a reputable business that would treat me right. After 32 days and 2300miles, the vehicle experienced catastrophic engine failure due to lack of oil. I contacted the dealer, and after over a dozen messages left and only 3 returned calls I was offered an inspection by their garage if would like to tow the vehicle to elgin at my expense of $300-$500 and to apply it to my insurance.
After I declined this wonderful offer, I was offerred a used engine with 89,000 miles installed for $6500, again at my expense. As I had just spend $8000 the month before, I declined this offer also. After writing an unfavorable review, I was contacted via website and offered a tow at dealers expense. This was 10 days after I had been without a car and NUMEROUS unreturned phone calls. I was told repeatedly that this was not their problem.
I advised them that Warrant of Merchantability is an implied warrantly that states a vehicle should run the way it is supposed to. This information was presented to the dealer and ignored. I basically got a pat on the back and a "good luck with that". I was more than willing to compromise but could not even get my phone calls returned. If you are buying a car, SKIP THIS DEALER! They only stand behind their new cars as they have a mfg. Warrantly. They dont take any responsibilty for what they sell.
