My wife and I bought a 2010 Challenger SRT8 with 2600 miles on it form these shysters in Sept.'10. The car had several aftermarket upgrades, such as long tube racing headers, Corsa exhaust, tinted windows, and 22" KMC wheeels colored to match the car. However, it did not have catalytic convertors on it, which is prohibited by federal law.
The dealer choose to replace the exhaust system with the factory exhaust and give me the aftermarket exhaust system in a box to reinstall later, rather than putting the aftermarket racing catalytic convertors on the car. We agreed and were told to pick up the car in a few days when the exhaust would be done.
At that time, the car was not done as promised.in fact, the car had straight exhaust from the catalytic convertors back. No mufflers and no resonators. Furthermore, the Corsa exhaust had disappeared! And the headers were mutilated, needing new mid-pipes.
Upon demanding an explanation, the manager told me that was the why the car was when I bought it. Oddly, it was him who made such a big deal of the modifications. Obviously, they had done this before. Even the wheels that were supposed to be powder coated started to flake off because they painted over chrome, not powder coated.
After weeks of getting no where with management, I proceeded to take legal action. The Nashville police told me that I would have to prove the items stolen were actually on the car when I purchased it. Sadly, I had no pictures of the car's modifications since it had never left the car lot of the dealership.
The BBB was no help either. I could not even get out of the sale because it was used, even though I wanted out of the deal before ever driving the car. The system gave me no justice, so buyers beware of Bob Frensley Dodge because they are thieves and liars, giving new depth to the word shyster.
