I recently visited Dothan Kia to buy a 2012 Optima.
Whew! Talk about Sticker Shock! Not for the factory sticker... But for the one Dothan Kia adds to it.
I first visited the Kia Company website and built the vehicle with the options I wanted on-site. Kia Motors sent me a quote and directed me to my local dealership to buy the car. WRONG!
When I arrived they wouldn't honor the quote from Kia Motors Inc. - the manufacturer!
They wanted over $4,500.00 MORE for the exact same car!
They added an additional $999.00 for added profit because they said that the vehicle is in high demand and not readily available. BS - I checked with 5 dealers in the North Florida and Alabama regions and their inventory is just fine. Over 300 Optimas are currently in the area.
They added an additional $199.00 for a pinstripe! The local tint shop will install a better one without the stupid Dothan Kia logo in the stripe for $25.
