I purchased a 1999 Corolla from a dealer in North Carolina who financed through Transouth. Since it was the first big purchase me and my wife made we knew we would have a higher intrest rate becouse of my past credit. I have not had any problems other than an outragous 18% intrest rate. I am in the Military and have my payment paid to them by allotment.
About 4 months ago my payment started showing up late after numerous calls to them about this they told me I need to quit blaming other people and take responsibility for my actions even after I had proof from my finance office that the payment was made on time as it always had been. They are now reporting negatively on my credit report.
I am trying to sell the car but when I call for a payoff balance they give me an amount that is more than the rest of payment would be I asked how could that be and nobody could give me answer. This company preys on people that are naive mostly first time or high risk buyers
