One day late on payment? Your car will be turned off by automated switch.
When you lease a car from Orbit, the in-house financing company Car City uses, they build in a mechanism which does not allow your car to start if you are ONE DAY LATE IN YOUR PAYMENT. This detail is in teeny, tiny print, at the very end of an extremely long contract.
Not all people have to pay twice or three times as much for their cars, but all are subject to the automated system if you are only one day late on your payment. Ready to be controlled??? Nazi-style?
The state of Michigan mandates that companies can only repossess cars if payments are 2 1/2 to 3 months late. So... Orbit just shuts off the car, making it impossible to drive the car, until a full payment is made. No grace period. Even if you are one day late.
