A package was mailed to me today, 04/28, to my home in Litchfield, CT from a business in Torrington, CT via USPS. This is a distance of approximately 10 miles. USPS transported the package to Springfield, MA, about 65 miles north. USPS then sent the package to Waterbury, CT, which is 17 miles south of Litchfield, CT. The package has now traveled at least 150 miles, been transferred apparently several times which involved numerous employees, and has yet to be delivered to my home. This is a monumental waste of money. Shut the USPS down and allow UPS, Fedex, and other private corporations to deliver mail. The USPS is obviously unable to develop delivery patterns that make sense and that save money. Cut out the subsidy for this inept organization.
