I bought a car from Toyota of North Hollywood on December 1 based on purposefully false statements made by their salesman.
Basically, I already had a legitimate offer from another Toyota dealer and was looking to see if Toyota of North Hollywood could do better.
They had advertised 0% financing on their website. The Toyota of North Hollywood salesman said that the other dealer had lied to me and would never live up to their offer.
He went on to state that there was no dealer that could possibly offer the terms I was given since their "markup" was only so much below the MSRP (and quoted a figure, which I, regrettably believed at the time).
He repeated his statement that the other dealer had lied to me in front of their financial person. I was naive enough to believe that a Toyota dealer would not purposefully slander another Toyota dealer, but I was wrong.
The Toyota of North Hollywood salesman new that he could not beat the offer I had already been given, so he decided to lie in order to make the sale.
Well, I'm sorry, but that's fraud, plain and simple. Why should we allow salesman to get away with this conduct when no one else can???!!!
Whatever you do, where ever you go, do NOT buy a car from Toyota of North Hollywood. PLEASE learn from my mistake!
