I looked at the car and test drove it. I pointed out things that needed attention. I was told they would be taken care of. I paid $2000 over retail for this car. The dealership owner and I got to be friends or so I thought so before I got this car. I put a deposit down on the car and was told the work on it would be started. I signed the papers before seeing the car after all repairs were done because I trusted this guy. All vehicles are supposed to be inspected and serviced before they are delivered. My wife had to pick the car up because I was at work. This was the first time she saw the car. When I looked at it, the only thing done was the inspection. None of the work was done at all on it. The seats weren't repaired, it wasn't detailed, the oxidation on the headlight lenses weren't taken care of. I checked the oil and contacted the dealership. They said the service was done but when I told him that the oil was black and if it was just changed, the engine had to be real dirty and possibly defective. He then came clean and said the service wasn't done. The battery is defective which should have been caught if the service had been done.
I am now responsible for putting out all this money to have the repairs done that he said he would do. I paid $11000 for a 2001 Mustang GT with 84000 miles on it and it is only worth about $7000. He said he was making no money on this deal, but he got the vehicle from an auction and basically, put no money into it. I am pissed off because I refused to give him the rest of the down payment and said I would put it towards the repairs that he should have done. That money would have covered very little. He referrred to me as a bastard and wanted no more contact with me. Stay away from this dealership at all cost!!
