Ok... Last year, August, I had to spend $1,400.00 on a new rack and pinion on my 99 Jetta. Warrantied for 12,000 miles or 12 months. Well 14,000 miles later I need a new rack and pinion.
Not to forget the up-sale they had for brakes and other minor things. I get a bunch of "I don't knows" and "I will need to contact the manager and the regional to see what we can do to help you out." In fact you will not be able to reach the regional because he will only answer to us here in the maintenance dept.
Basically saying that I won't even be able to state my case. Right now VW sucks! Do they think that it is right and fair to charge me another $1,400.00? I still haven't heard from them yet.
That's beside the point. The fact is that two rack and pinions in less than a year is bull - . And the middle seat belt in the rear seat... Fixed once at $75.00 and is broken today again simply from folding down the seats. All the console compartments broken within the first year, CD changer broken in the second year.
How does a CD changer break? All you do is put cd's in and out of it. QUALITY!!!
This second rack and pinion is still an open item but I better hear something by the end of the business day. My Wife needs to go to work and grad school to help us pay for our new house. Thank God nothing happened to her on the way to work.
The first time she drove it to my work and fortunately the rack and pinnion went out as she got to my office. This time she left for work and it went out not far from the Dealer. What a rip off they are... All dealers! 1400 dollars... I can go on with this rage but I better quit.
