I drive a 1998 Black Mitsubishi GT 3000, yes I have had my troubles with this car. If it's not one thing it's another. My car started to overheat so I had it towed from Easley, South Carolina to Burts Automotive in Duncan, South Carolina. Which is about an hour drive. I had always lived in that area before I moved to Easley so I knew I could take my car there.
They couldn't get the car to start which at the time didn't surprise me because I've had my fair share of problems with it. They said it was the Roader Button on the Distributor so I paid $113.71 to get that fixed because they couldn't get it to overheat. I drove it, and it over heated his tow company came and picked it up. They replaced the thermostat then found out that the Roader Button they changed broke again! Therefore, the distributor needed to be changed. This would have been around a $500 fix they said.
I am a young, female college student and living on my own. I did not have the money to do that so I drove my car off their lot after paying $60.72 for them to change my thermostat. I then ordered a distributor for $159 and had a family mechanic change it for $40.
When I went to pick up my car on August 17. The mechanic stated that the damage to the distributor was intentional. There was no way my car could of damaged it. It was physically done with some sort of tool. Put it this way, a knife would of broke before it did any damage to the distributor. Now I am $267.71 in the hole and have shed too many tears and had too many stressful days because of this company whom took advantage of me.
