On April 25 i traded a Toyota Camry 1998 for a 2005 Chrysler at the dealership that has had more problems in 25days than I had owning the Camry for 7 years. I noticed the gas gauge not working properly immediately but thought I had burned more gas than I realized when the indicatordropped to empty and came back up. My daughter was in a accident in Georgia so I felt I could go in my new car to pick her up. Halfway to Atlanta the check engine light came on as I approached the Tennesse mountains. I was horrified.
I took the car to the first available repair shop and they said there was something wrong with some type of valve. I had to travel with this light on and returned home to contact the dealer. The sales guy told me they wanted to make me happy because he didn't sell lemons. He said I could have another car but the options he showed me were not even properly detailed and were worse than what I was sold. He referred me to Steve Farr who told me to bring the car back on Monday and they would take care of it. I took this to mean it would be repaired free of charge. The service dept called and told me it was $1000.00 and I had to pay half. I was in shock. I just gave them my entire savings of $3500.00 plus my car valued at $2000 and they would not do anything to make this deal fair. I told Steve initially I want to return the car and he told me no and now I have to pay to repair it and I haven't had it 30 days at this point.
I paid for a extended warranty that doesn't apply to the problems. That's another 2500 dollars I spent. What kind of business is this. I had a salon for 22years and never treated anyone this way for services a lot less than this. I need help from the corporate office. I know nobody should be treated this way. This is criminal to take peoples money this way. I want to return this car and get my money back or at least a reliable vehicle. I have a 4 year loan and malfunctioning car in the first 25 days!
