Deceptive, poorly trained, service personnel

I used Safelite to replace a broken side window on my Lexus. After installation of the window, the repair agent stated not to open it for 3 days to allow the computer to reset itself, then everything will function properly. After 3 days I opened the window which made a racket and would not stays closed using the auto-up feature (it would go up and then open halfway). I arranged for another visit from Safelite. This Agent had to pick out glass left from the previous Agent to prevent the cracking sound in the gears. However the Agent said he could not fix the the window to make it go up automatically and stay there. He said he called someone who suggested I take it to Lexus to get the computer reset.

I called Lexus to find out they would charge me $150 to reset the window. I then spoke with a Safelite Customer Care person who could only apologize and say she would talk to the local shop that did the job. I stated I wanted the window to operate properly and I should not be responsible for Safelite's shoddy training and workmanship. Safelite was supposed to call me back, but never did.

Based on my experiencewith the local shop, and Safelite corporate I would recommend you go elsewhere.in this day and age standing behind your product should be the standard. Obviously it is not a quality of Safelite.
