I spoke to a Tony back in March and ordered a set of B-82B 18in rims which they advised me that they were in stock. Advised me of they were $699.00 and they did not except credit cards and to send them a check. Sent the check in. The only call I ever received from them was to advise that they had received my check.
Placed the order with them and then they wanted an additional amount of $ stating that it was for mount & balance. Fine, whatever because I wanted the rims. Over the next couple of months, I kept calling them and speaking to this Tony guy. Kept giving me the run around stating that they were still on backorder so I asked them to send my money back. He then stated that it was considered a cancelled order and that there was 20% charge for that. Asked them how is it a cancelled order if you guys don't have the rims? He calmed me down and stated to give it a little more time. Ended that call and called again numerous times after that to find out where the rims were... Same story not in stock yet.
In May I filed a complaint with the BBB and then a complaint with the Attorney General in California. NO LUCK because Motek Wheels NEVER responded to those either. It is now NOVEMEBER still NO RIMS AND OUT OF $699.00!!! The ph# that I have for them is disconnected. Even if there is no outcome from this maybe this will help someone else!
