Brad (Salesperson) Oliver (Sales Manager) Complete Scam, dishonest, liars, rip offs

I went to ray chevrolet to trade in my 2004 pontiac grand am for a new car. (Nothing but problems...) I did not have perfect credit but it was ok,

First off Brad (sales person) told me that all I would only be able to get was a 2010 chevy cobalt. (piece of crap-sqwat box) for $400 a month. So with some consideration I went out and test drove it. It was horrible.

So I told him I don't think so, because it is very small and I can't fit my grand kids in the back seat. So then just to make him happy because he was very pushy I told him that I would have to talk to my older sons, who know about cars.

But then they told me to take the cobalt and drive it to show him... Again very pushy didnt want me to leave... Ugh

So I took the car to my house showed my son and they did not like it, my son said mom this is a piece because it was suposed to be brand new and yet the sunroof switch was falling off, hanging from the roof.

I took the car back and on my way back Brad called me and said that I just want to let you know that if you dont like the cobalt that we have a 2010 chevy impala that you could get for $30 more on my payment. (even though they before told me I could only get the cobalt) now it changed for some reason...

I told him over the phone that I would look at it when I got there. So I get there and look at the car and it was dark by then, I had been there all day... Ugh.

Brad tells me the only thing bad or wrong with the car is that it was a demo (Loaner) car and that it has 2,000 some odd miles on it. But it was new. At first glance and a test drive I liked the car... I told brad go get me the price for my payment and then I will tell you if I want it.

Brad then comes back and instead of just $30 more he now says $40 more so it would now be $440. I told him that is too high, I can't afford that, I told him if he could get it to $430 I would take the car. I thought I was happy... Boy was I wrong. So Brad after talking to the manager gets the $429 price which was close enough for me. I signed all the papers, including a paper that said if the loan dosen't go though at the bank (because it was night and they were closed) that I have to bring the car back tomorrow.

Well instead I was back the next day becuase the car in the light (day time) had damage to the front drivers door, fender, and also had what looked like rust all over the chrome that outlined all windows. And a big stain on the front passenger side seat... New car my ass...

Brad was not there I dealt with the manager Oliver. Was very nice about fixing it, but I was very upset that this was not a new car. New cars dont have damage... Right? And also it was going to take 3 days to be done.

So whatever, I told them to fix it what else was i supposed to do? So I pointed out to the Manager in repairs (Steve) everything that was wrong and needed to be fixed. He said ok no problem we will take care of it.

Anyway 3 days go by and I go back to pick up my car, because they called and said it was done, which in all reality it was not. I drove all the way back there (30mins) just to find out that they didn't fix all the rusty chrome, they didn't clean the stain on the passenger side, and also they made a new grease (black) hand print on the back of the drivers seat...

Oliver the manager was there so I went to talk to him about it, he came out to the car that was supposed to be done and seen everything wrong again... He said that they would fix it for me but it would take more time because of the holiday weekend... (again mind you this was supposed to be a new car) that I still only drove half a day... And it will be in the shop again!!!

So I told Oliver just keep the car and I will come back when it is done another week. He gave me a loaner car (spaceship looking car) in the begining, when they first took my car to fix it and now I again will be driving the loaner per Oliver because they didn't fix it right the first time... Go figure.

By now I'm just frustrated and pissed that they keep lying to me about it being fixed and also about it being a NEW CAR. With everything I have been through with this car already you would think that it was not a $20,000 car. It seems like a lemon or used car like what I traded in...

After I got home from talking to Oliver and leaving the car AGAIN, I was thinking I should not have to go though this hassel for a new car. I shoud just be able to sign the papers and drive off and not come back (the next day and then again after that).

I went back to Ray Chevrolet to talk to Oliver (manager) and Brad (sales person). Just to be told that we tried to satisify you with fixing the problems and giving you a loaner car to drive. And they also tell me now that cars with 2,000 miles means damaged... Bullshit!!! They never said that before, so I told them I want a different car, or my trade in car back. Because this car that you sold me was not a NEW CAR, I dont feel I should have to pay $440 a month for a used car. They told me that they could not give me a different car that my car was new, and they could not give me my traded in car either.

So now I'm with this loaner car for another week, when I was supposed to have just bought a new car. This dealership is a scam!!! They lie to you just to get you to shut up and go way, or to push you into a car that is not what you want. All I wanted from the begining was a NEW 2010 Chevy Impala and what I got was a used damaged 2010 Chevy Impala. And according to them I'm stuck with it.
