Giltner trucks are not mechanically safe, had a lot of major brake down issues while on the road. Transmission, clutch, drive line, axle, and engine issues. Notified Company via phone and qualcomm about issues and that I needed a tow co sat and argued with me wanting me to drive it to a repair facility after I told them the truck was unable to move. Roadside mechanic replaced clutch and transmission and co tried to make me pay the bill I was still having mechanical issues with the truck that was beyond the drivers control. Company expected me to do illegal runs, tried to communicating with company about illegal runs they laughed. So I could no longer operate the equipment safely and legally per DOT requirements. Was ordered to get to the terminal Was ordered to speak with safety department Dustin Dustin told me that the truck had safety issues before me and he should have never let it go out, then he fired me due to personality conflict. I believe it had something to do with me not wanting to do their illegal activity. Still have not recieve final paycheck, and had to find my own transportation home at my own expense.
I would not recommend that any one drive for this company until an DOT clean up.
