I thought I was the only victim, But after wathing TWO TV-News reports from both NBC and ABC news affliliates I found out I was not alone, not much comfort for being scammed out of $25,000 Dollars.
My case, much like the ones which aired on NBC and ABC, showed how Commerce Insurance maliciously denied claims based on a very very vague statue they paid lobbyists to have passed. "Non-Cooperation Law." They can deny any claim at any time if THEY deem you not to cooperate with any request you feel unreasonable.
HERE'S THEIR SCAM: To be so malicious and misleading in their investigations of stolen vehicle claims. They will harrass and insult you, your spouse, family and co-workers. They will make unreasonable requests with no regard for your civil rights OR WHAT DAMAGE THEY LEAVE IN THE WAKE OF THEIR MALICIOUS WAYS.
Anyone with a legal and honest claim with pride eventually becomes so insulted and frustrated as to hold them accountable for their malicious actions... That's's when you fall right into their scam, they want you to loose your temper so they can deny your claim once you question many of the civil right infringments they move in on.

"They'll do everything they can to delay the claim and hope you get mad enough to fall in their trap, Commerce does not want to pay." Former Commerce Employee
Don't get scammed here are some of the malicious and misleading tactics they use on me:
Claims Person Scott Gowen delays claim by not being able to take initial statement for more than a month because "I am backed up with appointments for next three weeks." My claim should wait because Commerce is understaffed? So I call a few days later only to find out Scott Gowen made a false statemnt. He was on vacation for two weeks and not "Backed up" with appoointments as he stated. The claims adjuster admitted the wrong doing and redirected case to another person. This was the first sign I was dealing with a scam company.
Commerce claims invetigators showing up at residence unannounced harrassing family, employees of condo management. Making misleading and illegeal requests, the manager eventually asks him to leave property.
Seperate claims Investigator, shows up at manegment office unnannounced makes illegeal request for personal information, when management denies and asks employee of Commerce to leave. HE Gains access to property illegeally by sneaking through security gates without management permission by illegeally tresspassing.
Claims Manager Doreen O'Rourke makes misleading and malicious promises to finalize claim in order to get documents. Here's the scam: Once provided, the claim is never finalized, she lies to consumers in order to get personal documents one might otherwise not provide unless under the misleading pretenses of having a nightmare association with Commerce come to an end.
Boston Police inform me that where my vehicle was stolen is a "Problem area" and many cars are stolen from that area. Claims Manager Doreen O'Rourke delays claim based on a statement she knows to be false but doesn't think the average consumer will check her facts. "I checked it out and No vehicles were stolen from that area." Claim delayed.
Boston Police not only dispute her statment but inform me "NO one in good judgement can make a claim like that knowning it takes many months to gather factual information on the amount of thefts in a Zone area." Boston Police Media Department. Oh by the way there was not "One" car stolen from area. There were dozens and dozens and dozens stolen from the are based on a factual report by Boston Police which Commerce ignored.
Claims Manager Brian Scoelfield promises claim will be resolved in two weeks... Months later.
Claims Manager sends me a letter regarding claim at end of letter she signs it "If you need more information or want to discuss this matter feel free to call me." I call her, She refuses to talk to me regarding the letter. The Letter she sent informing me she would be available to talk.
Many Many more incidents like that, but here's the ironic outcome...
I signed a release to commerce witnessed by lawyers waiving all of my rights and giving commerce permission to get and release whatever personal, finnancial, medical information they need from any source anytime anyday.
Six months later they deny the claim based on "Non-Cooperation" even after I signed a legal document giving the all access to any personal information they want.

Be careful don't use Commerce. Soon there will be websites up and running to help consumers deal with scams like this.
