My husband and I purchased a 2003 convertible mustang. Right from the start we should of knew something was very wrong with this dealership. The salesman bragged about being a part time police officer but was helping his family out by selling cars since they owned the dealership. He urged us to lie to the bank so that we would be approved. To get a better interest rate is what he said. When we refused he told us it would be tough to get financing then but he would try. Meanwhile I provided him with a list of items that was wrong with the vehicle. I wanted it written on the due bill so that I knew that they would be fixed before me signing the final papers on a 16,000 dollar vehicle that was used. He told me they didnt use due bills in his dealership but wrote it on another piece of paper. He told me to relax and trust him that everything would be fixed. Well one of the items was the brakes. It made a high pitched noise when you tried to stop. The salesman told me it was because I was not used to driving a vehicle with 20's on it but he would have it checked. I was insulted. I had always driven sports cars so I knew this wasnt the problem. Well on 3 seperate occasions I brought the car back in for them to fufill the list and and had left it there for hours at a time. When I picked it up on each of those occasions I didnt see that anything had been fixed. So I took it to an independant repair shop. I was told that I couldnt leave the shop with my car unless I replaced the brakes. Taha's had sold me a car with less than 5 percent of the brakes and had ruined the rotors. The car needed an alignment desperately because it had eaten the inside of the tires from a poorly aligned job. I couldnt believe these were all things that Taha's had told me they had fixed during the 3 visits to their shop with my car. They had hours to do so. They hadnt touched a thing. They lied to me. It took mine and my familys safety for granted and we could of not only had a very bad accident and injured ourselves but others as well. The visit to the repair shop cost me another 2thousand dollars to repair what they should of done in the begining. That vehicle never should of left their lot with those safety issues. Which brings me to another problem. I had been financed with one company when I left their lot and yet 3 weeks after that they called me back in saying there was a problem. Because I didnt lie to the bank about my income as they had told me to that I had to be financed with someone else at a much higher rate. Taha's changed the numbers well after I thought the deal was supposed to be final. I ended up paying almost 20 thousand by the time they were done.
