My husband and I bought are stationed in Germany, My husband is in the Army. We arrived in Germany in April of 09 and soon after we arrived we bought our new car, a 2008 VW Jetta. We found out shortly after being here my husband would be going to Afghanistan. For this 4th deployment. I soon realized I would not be able to stay here due to medical issues, so the Army is going to be sending me back to the states, and of course I want to take my car. When shipping a car to of from the states you have to get a letter from the lender saying you are able to take it back to the states, or to another country. When we signed the contact for the car, apparently it said we can not take the car back to the states until it is paid in full.
Although they do have state side lenders, so switching the contact from Germany to the states shouldn't be a problem. But they are refusing to let us send it home, until it is paid in full. This is crap I believe, these men and women fight for our country every day and yet these lenders and other companies make it so hard for us just to live everyday lives, and make things a little easier on us.
Im reporting this company because I don't want other people to have to go through this.
