Previously C&C Ford Consumers incur the huge costs charged for their incompetence

Third time dealing with the service dept. And the arrogant, sleazy service manager, Philip D'Amore with poor results. Mis - diagnosing problem, requiring additional time to diagnose and charging the consumer for all the extra time.
First incident - car (Ford Focus) wouldn't start. When the car was returned, the emergency brake was damaged and broke. Manager, Phil, stated they were not responsible for things that break while they are repairing other things. Took no responsibility for breaking my E-brake but wanted to charge me $127. To repair it. While driving the car home, the car sparked and died. My husband opened the hood and found that the wires to my radio were put back "crossed" and had shorted out my system. The manager Phil, said that the technician that had repaired my car was not familiar with "after market radios" and must have crossed the wires. Again, took no responsibility and said the radio had nothing to do with what they repaired so they weren't responsible.

Second incident. Took my jeep (now called Chapman Chrysler Jeep - thought maybe they were ll new service people, NOT!) in because it wouldn't start. Charged a $99.99 diagnostic fee up front which you have to agree to. 5 hours later, they called to say that it was a cellanoid in the transmission and that they would fix it under warranty with a $100. Deductible. Waited 2 days for the part, called to say that the car still won't start - it wasn't the cellanoid. Now wanted an additional $100 to continue to diagnose the problem which has already taken time and then a wrong diagnosis. At this point car is apart and still not running - they are the jeep dealer so you really have no choice but to incur the cost and have them continue to diagnose. Within 20 minutes - we received a call saying it was a ground wire that was chewed. After all that - it was a $2 ground wire, yet we had to incur all the cost of time for their incompetence at diagnostics and misdiagnostics. After the wire was fixed and I went to pick it up, they still charged me for the cellanoid and diagnostics even though there was nothing wrong with my cellanoid.

Third incident. Took my car in for a recall of ball joints and a $19.99 oil change. Reported to them that since they had replaced the cellanoid on my transmission, it has been "slipping" while in gear. First it was mild but now was getting worse. They again said it would be a $99.99 diagnostic fee even though they are the ones that touched my transmission when they shouldn't have. Five hours later, they again called to say they need more time to diagnose and wanted to charge me another $100., but kept saying that if it was found to be the transmission, they would absorb the cost. But in order to find that out, they make you agree to yet another diagnostic fee. Again, it was diagnosed as a rotted hose and a shield in the transmission, $23.37 in parts. They proceeded to again charge me $200.00 in diagnostic fee even though, 1 - it had to do with the transmission which was fine before they touched it, and 2- again I incurred the cost of their incompetence and inability to diagnose.
This seems to be their common practice and as a consumer, you go to the dealer so as to have confidence in the competence of their technicians. This is a scam taking advantage of consumers. They break things and perform unnecessary services, then take no responsibility and pass the costs on to the consumer. Their manager is rude and arrogant and his answer is always - "it's not our problem, it's yours."
