Sells rebuilt wrecks / claims CLEAR TITLE. Takes advantage of out-of-town buyers

This so called dealership preys on out-of-town victims via the internet.By using ebay for car sales, this dealer is able to sell the rebuilt vehicles with clear titles to unsuspecting out-of-town buyers. This dealer refuses to honor the NY buyers guide warranty or their own stated warranty. It is used as a sales tactic only.

I called and inquired on a vehicle prior to bidding. I asked about the quality of the vehicle such as; "has this vehicle ever been wrecked or has it had any paint work", "have you test driven it on the open road to see how it runs and how the transmission shifts", "have you tried the 4x4 option to insure proper function". I attempted to get as much information on this vehicle as possible before making my bid. Everything that I asked was answered in a positive way. No accidents, no paint work, driven daily for over a week to include several long trips with no problems, the 4x4 worked perfectly.
I was sure that this vehicle was what I wanted when I heard all the positive responses so I bid and won the auction.

I made arrangements to fly to NY on a Friday to take delivery of this vehicle. The dealer and my bank could not agree on payment terms (dealer wanted cash or cashiers check only and would not accept a draft) and this delay caused me to miss my flight on Friday so I had to make different arrangements for Saturday morning.

I let the dealer know that I would be landing in NY at 4:15 pm. The dealer said they would wait for me in case of flight delays and to call them when my flight landed and they would pick me up. I landed and called the dealership at 4:15 pm exactly. No answer. I ended up taking a taxi to the dealership to find it closed. Here I am in Queens NY at a closed car lot (no dealership). I knew that they must have had an emergency and surely they would be back soon.

I waited until 9:45 pm for someone to return before I went back to the airport. I had only enough money for the gas to drive home. I could not afford another flight back home. I stayed at the airport all night. The TSA officers harassed me everytime I closed my eyes to try to rest so I was really tired by the time someone answered the phone at the car lot the next day (Sunday) at 1:30 pm. I rushed to a cab to return to the car lot. When I arrived I was told that a big celebrity was performing close by so they closed early to party with them, and that I was there so what was the big deal.

I was totally blown away by their attitude. This was one salesman I was talking with. No manager of any kind would show their faces that day. When I viewed the vehicle it was filthy and had bad tires on it. It was described as 70% rubber, ready for the road, needs nothing.

They washed the outside and changed a few tires so I could make the trip home. The salesman was closing the lot as I was leaving around 4:30 pm.

When I started out I made it about 4 blocks before running out of gas. Finally I get on the road and after about 150 miles or so, it seemed as though everytime the transmission shifted it would slip. I thought that it was the rough roadway so I drove on. The transmission just got worse. I babied the vehicle from that point on. I slept several times through the night, allowing the vehicle to cool off. As soon as I was able to call the car lot the next morning, I did. I told them that the transmission was slipping and that I needed for them to help make arrangements to get it checked. I wasn't even home with this vehicle before I informed them of the transmission problems.

This car lot refused to do anything and claimed that I just wanted to back out of the deal. That was their way of dealing with customer complaints. This vehicle was sold with a limited warranty and the dealer to pay 100% labor and parts. They refused.

Ebay has been notified and they are currently under investigation for false statements and fraud.
The vehicle sits it storage with the transmission and rear end messed up. It will cost an estimated $3000-$3500 to repair.

BEWARE! These thugs are out for your money and do not care about their reputation. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR LIES or their vehicle descriptions. Everything that they said was false. They will say anything to make the sale. Even if it is in writing, who will enforce it over several state lines?
