I recently took my husband's Jeep Wrangler in for a pressure test after we noticed a coolant leak. When the CSR called to give us a quote he said that he wanted $950.00 to replace the water pump, upper/lower hoses, radiator cap, thermostat, and serpentine belt. He said he also noticed that my front brake pads needed to be replaced. He said he would do that and machine the rotors for an additional $495.00. That is highway robbery... Literally. All of the parts needed to complete that job cost under $200 at Autozone. Of course, I decided to do the work myself and told the guy that. His response was, "Do you even know what a water pump is? I think I will save $1300... Thank you very much
