Scam and lies

On July 9, I decided to spend $98.14 to hire a 6’ X 12’ U Haul truck from EZ Storage in Killen to carry furniture to Mobile, AL. I picked it-up on Friday and was planned to come back it September 12. About the return visit to Killen, we were on I 65, roughly an hour or so out-of Cellular, once the truck arrived off the problem around 2:30 P.M. We stopped and could obtain the truck off the interstate; nevertheless, the split about the truck was currently up, and we were not able to place it along, therefore it might be reattached for the problem.

I'd bought insurance for that truck throughout the July 9 deal, and so I named the hotline for aid. The hotline customer support consultant (HCSR) required our info, in addition to the place of the truck on I 65, that was between Region Highway (1) & (61) between your Atmore & Perdido leaves. The HCSR stated it'd consider half an hour to contact us back, so when she did call back she informed us she was delivering a wrecker from Pensacola, FL. I informed her which was quite a distance in the future and requested her if she may find anybody nearer to us. She stated she'd attempt, but called back again to let's understand T&T was the nearest. Once the tow vehicle turned up around 5:30P.M., significantly more than three hours following the incident, we unearthed that the funnel expansion (cable towards the lamps) was cut once the truck arrived down, therefore we couldn't carry the truck anymore since the lights wouldn't function. The pull driver stated he'd carry it back again to Pensacola and look after it. I named the hotline to tell them T&T had obtained the truck.

On Monday, July 13, I got the equipment dolly back again to EZ Storage. I told the dog owner what had occurred. He explained he was sorry. About one hour later, he named me at the office to inform me that my Credit consideration have been billed $1,090.05. I really could not think what he was telling me. I expected him exactly what the costs were for, but he didn’t understand, therefore he offered me the amount for the Cellular U Haul Local office (800-63...). I instantly named and spoke to Throw in the Cellular U Haul Local office, and he explained it had been a towing and rental charge. That same-day I named and spoke to Connie at U Haul Customer Support (800-78...), Jimmy Poole, EA (205-97...), and Stan Hannon at Republic American (800-52... Ext. 226), that will be the Insurance Co. No body might provide me any solutions.

On Tuesday, Chuck in the Cellular U Haul Local office delivered me the costs - a $292 rental fee along with a $722 cleanup charge, plus $76.05 in fees. I subsequently named Stan Hannon at Republic American Insurance. He explained to keep in touch with the U Haul mobile-office again and obtain a rest down of both costs. I named and spoke to Throw in the Cellular U Haul Local office and informed him I needed a break down of the costs. He explained these were the costs. I told him that I needed all documents coping with my event, the pull costs, etc. He explained he'd try to have them for me personally. I told him it will not be also challenging that it ought to be okay therein a document in his office.

On Wednesday, July 15, I named T&T, the pull organization and requested John, the dog owner, to get a quotation on the vehicle being towed on the flatbed from Pensacola to Mobile. He cited a set price of $225, and stated it had been great anyday of the week, but there could be one more cost of $25 after 6:00 P.M. I'd him send the estimate in my experience. I also continued MapQuest and planned the exact distance from Pensacola to I 65 that was around 60 to 65 kilometers, exactly the same length it's from Pensacola to Mobile! I named EZ Storage and informed the dog owner, and he explained he'd examine, but was informed by somebody at U Haul to remain from it – he'd not state who this individual was. Nevertheless, he did provide me a of $194.00 for departing the truck in Mobile, including a $157 rental charge, $32 for insurance and one more duty/fee of $5.

Thursday, July 16, I still hadn't obtained any papers in the Cellular U Haul Local office, and so I named Chuck, who had been not in; nevertheless, I did so keep in touch with Jim Vegetable and informed him I needed the documents. He explained he'd observe what he might do and obtain back again to me, but that Chuck was managing my situation. He never returned in my experience.

On Friday, July 17, I named Chuck in the Cellular U Haul Local office to inquire about the dysfunction, and he nevertheless didn't contain it prepared. He ultimately named me and delivered me the facts by fax late that morning. After obtaining the documents, I named him back again to discuss the towing and wiring costs, but Chuck had previously quit for that evening. That same-day, I named and spoke to Uhaul Customer Support again, plus they aimed me towards the Uhaul Manchester office. I spoke to Brenda there, but she wasn't ready to assist me both. After obtaining the break down of costs, I named John at T&T, also. I told him he was over-charging for that towing and also the wiring. He'd cited me $225 to get a 60-mile pull anyday of the week. Today he was getting $548 for roughly the exact same length, plus he was getting for wiring the entire truck when just the funnel expansion was cut.

On Monday, July 20, I spoke to Throw in the Cellular U Haul Local office and requested concerning the rental charge of $292. He explained it had been a two way charge. I told him I needed a break down of this charge, but have yet to get one.

On Tuesday, July 21, I spoke to U Haul Customer Support again. They looked up my consideration and mentioned that I'd removed insurance, so that they explained to contact Stan at American Republic again. I subsequently named and spoke to Stan and he explained he might keep in touch with various other people and might return to me on Thursday morning.

Wednesday, July 22, Stan at American Republic didn't contact; nevertheless, I named Stan twice and remaining messages.

Thursday, July 23, Stan at American Republic didn't contact, though I named him twice and remaining messages.

Friday, July 24, Stan at American Republic didn't contact, though I named him again and remaining messages.

On Monday morning, July 27, I still hadn't seen from Stan. I named U Haul customer support again and was informed to contact American Republic. I named American Republic and requested for another person to assist me. I had been placed on store after which informed Stan might return to me today. Stan did call-back roughly two hours later. He explained he believed that perhaps there is anything they might do and he'd return to me.

The rental charge, towing and fix costs are usurious! I purchased the insurance suggested by U Haul and really should just spend the initial statement of $98.14, because the insurance I purchased addresses any incident that may occur. The truth that the truck arrived down and was not able to be delivered to the vehicle since it'd no lamps isn't my problem, or must I result in the expense borne to carry it, restore it, or return it towards the area where it was hired.
