When replacing tires at a local dealer, I was informed that the front wheel bearings in my chevrolet venture were too dangerous to drive with. I informed the dealer that I had an extended warranty with Vemeco, Inc. And the service rep. Said that he would call the carrier. I was later informed that they would not honor the warranty because that this was "normal wear" and they only covered that part when you had a "BREAKDOWN" on the road. The service manager said that indeed, the car would "breakdown" if I drove it any distance. The dealer said that this would have been covered by GM if under warranty and that Vemeco and several others are known throughout the industry as "MAJOR RIPOFFS" because the sell you a "GOLD PROTECTION PLAN" that covers all things listed in their brochure.
BE WARNED that for two thousand dollars, that they cover nothing, unless it breaks down under use, and if they can, they place the blame on YOU for any repairs. This is only a "BREAKDOWN" policy and it only pays if you breakdown on the road, it is not an extended warranty. Gregory Hutton, a sales rep sold us this piece of trash as an extended warranty, and made all types of promises about how great the coverage is. We are going on a vacation this week and we have to RENT A CAR in fear of breaking down on the way there
THANK YOU!!! Vemeco*
