I called the parts dept. Today to inquire about buying batteries for a keyless entry remote that was dead on my 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. I was told that the batteries were only a few dollars, but that when they die the key has to be re-programmed for $45 each. They also told me that when you re-program 1, the other will have to be programmed the same.
This didn't sound right to me so I called Hendrick Chrysler in Fayetteville and was told that NO programming was required, and that I could buy the batteries at Wal-Mart or a drug store and be good to go. Thanks to Rick Hendrick's honest staff I saved the $90 that Crown Dodge was trying to rip me off for.
I wonder how many unsuspecting people have just paid the money and not know they were being ripped-off. I will NEVER do business with Crown Dodge again and my wife and I have bought several vehicles over the past years. If they are that dishonest on little things, I wonder how dishonest they are with big things. Don't do business with crown dodge of fayetteville!!!
