I worked at Warranty USA in the Seattle, WA offices (yes, there was more than one) for about 2 years. I knew how the whole thing worked. They sent out postcards that looked like recall notices to people and when they called in, they were hit with a VERY high pressure and hard-core sales pitch for a $1500-2500 extended service plan. That would have been fine if the company paid claims and took care of it's customers, but no. You got your claim paid if you called in between 3pm and 4:30pm on the second or fourth Friday of the month.
Otherwise you were automatically denied NO MATTER WHAT. I was the queen of sales. I could sell to anyone. My specialty was little old ladies. If any female called in sounding over the age of 60, I was the one who pitched her. No matter what I sold her. I scared the hell out of them all and conned them into buying a product they couldn't afford with the false claim that it would help them. To all of you now, I appologize from the bottom of my heart.
