I have bought two vehicles from Saturn of Cerritos, and had no problems. The first car lasted 9 years, i just recently purchased a which has no problems so far. It is still under the warranty. The sales people i dealt with were good, no complaints with them. I feel that i got the car i wanted although i had to try three of them. I probably would not use their service department, i would go to another dealer while the car was under warranty. Their cars are OK by me.
That being said, i will say, BE VERY CAREFUL of the Finance Department, particularly * JIM KEENAN.* when we walked into the room, i felt that i was being sized up for a rip-off. There was also a female in the room who said nothing, and i said nothing to her. Fortunately this was my 5th car, so i knew the ropes. This man was very aggressive and obnoxious and was trying to fast talk me into paying over $4,000 in extras. He was very calculating and asked leading questions in an attempt to bully me, but i am very strong-willed and gave him very limited answers like "no", "i have had four cars" and "i don't want that". With people like him, the less you say, the better off you are. They are trained to use your words against you. Don't go for the OKEY DOKE! Stand your ground, and if you don't want something, don't sign for it.
He was not going to give up and even tried to use intimidation tactics when i didn't give him the answer he wanted to hear. What this man failed to realize is that i did my research beforehand on people like him, and also had been ripped off the first time i bought a car when i was much younger. I didn't buy any of their extended warraties, or other costly add-ons which would have lined his pockets. I know he was not a happy camper when i left his office.
The bottom line is, i paid the price i wanted to pay, (that was on the sticker) for the car i wanted. Also make sure that you know the features you want, and stick to that. Don't allow them to tell you "This car is identical" because if you don't check it out, you won't be satisfied. Remember, you want to buy a car, they want to sell you what they want you to buy. Don't get tricked.
So... You can go to Cerritos, but just say NO to JIM KEENAN.
