Calling Horizon Technolgies from a flyer received in the mail, Sept. information given by an Alan Arend provided the opportunity to sell a product in demand with a commission of $200 per sale. An investment in buying a web site they would set up would help bring in sales from search engines on Google, etc. An investment of $8,500 would result in 8,500 mailers going to interested persons desiring product. I could never get proof that the cards were mailed. Alan Arend informed me that they could guarantee up to l00 hits, even 1,000. He followed that statement indicating we could earn $20,000, impling that 100 hits or 100 sales times $200 would produce the income. Constant reminders to the coach assigned, Richard Patterson, that the money was not being received. The total sent to me was $300 and that was from residual income shared with Independent Business Owners. IBO
Alan Arend failed to mention that any General Car Owners were subject to having car warranties voided if any product was added not factory authorizied. I could not add the theft unit to my own GM product without losing my warranty. I spent around $1,200 of my own money advertising, visiting individuals, car dealers, taxi cab companies, fleet units, etc. All thought it would be niceto have the unit but did not wish to make the investment. I found out that some units did not work. The company told me they would replace any that failed. I received $300 in residual income from the company after a total investment to them of $10,929 for market plan, website, consumer and business membeship, brochures, and a theft unit. But it is the marketing plan that is the ripoff in this compaint.
