This company is probably under another name, but beware! I purchased an extended auto warranty from this company in 2003 for my then new Ford F-250 diesel. Since then, I have attempted to authorize claims on two critical items. The first was an EGR valve that went out at a reported repair cost of over $500. The brochure I was presented clearly stated that the EGR valve was a "covered" item. However, when I attempted to authorize the repairs, I was told that it was not covered, and they cited the VERY FINE PRINT on the back of the contract that stated that this was a non-covered emission item "caused by or due to compliance with any law or legislation including the 1990 Clean Air Act are not covered."
The second item I attempted to claim was for transmission repair at an estimated cost of nearly $4,000. The vehicler had 89,000 miles on it and was still "under their warranty." This one I share in some responsibility as I learned that I did not follow recommended service intervals at 30,000 and 60,000 miles. I had the transmission serviced at 41000 miles only. So, of course, they followed the contract to the letter. I was told by the mechanic that this company is the worst they have ever dealt with in trying to authorize warranty work. It was like I threw $1800 out the window for this warranty, so I share some blame, of course. Please use caution especially if you find out their name used to be OmniCare.
