I called them about a Polaris Ranger 500 (bought new from them and 1 of 4 polaris' we have) that I have and told them I think I need a computer I was pretty sure I'd fried it they told me to bring it down and they would plug it up and tell me what was wrong with it for free and proably had the part in stock! I had just bought $800 worth of parts from them for another one thought ok that is cool of them. I sent the Ranger down to them thinking we will have it back in a little while. NOPE got it down there and real smart acting "Sorry we can't get to you right now just leave it and I'll get to it after while at the latest in the morning I mean I'm not charging anything. (3-17-09)" So we thought ok no problem. So forgot about till later the next day called to check on it that afternoon (3-18-09) "Oh yeah we will get to it next week." I said NEXT WEEK! Raised some cain, "Ok let me see what we can do well we can proably get to it in the morning at the latest friday." Ok whatever next morning (3-19-09) call comes in from them "Yeah we got your ranger figured out we took another computer off a new one and it fired right up." I said cool how much is it?"$275" (I had found them online for $245) but ok go with I mean they looked at it for free right. Yeah be down to pick them up in a few "oh we don't have it and it will be a week to get one" so I said well I can't do without it any longer let me check another place see if I can get one sooner "oh wait we can put the one off the new one and just replace it next week." Ok great "would you like for us to put it on" No don't worry about it I'll do that. So sent for it and we get down there to pick up still in the same place hood proped up headlight about to fall out and sitting outside (but in a fenced lot) go to pay for a computer and have a $69.00 labor bill!!!"Anything we run thru the shop we have to charge for." I told them we did not tell them to run anything thru the shop "Oh well it did not have fire on it so I thought it was the computer so to check it i had to pull one off another bike and plugged it up. And that fixed it." I told him I knew that 2 days ago when I called it in! And i finally just figured out that they were not going to do not one thing about it so I figured i would post this to prevent someone else from bing ripped off at Ritchie Powersports!!! And if they would like to make it right I'm willing to let them refund the labor charge and I would be happy and will post a rebuttal.
