Mr. Transmission took the money from warranty company to replace part and tried to swindle 1800.00 more dollars from custome

The nightmare started on January 23. BTW, it is March 12th and as of yet I do not have a running vehicle. I purchased a used 02 VW Jetta with an extended warranty. After driving a few weeks I noticed that the car would be slow to shift and sometimes not shift at all between gears. I went back and forth with the dealer and determined that I would take it in to be looked at. Mr Transmission offered a "free" diagnostic so I took it there.

NOW! I carefully and thoroughly explained to John, Allen and Perry not to touch my car if they could not do the work with what the warranty company would pay them. They said no problem, they deal with warranty companies all the time. They agreed to replace the transmission for approx. 3600.00 in which they were promptly paid on the 24th. They called about 3 days later and said a valve body was needed on the transmission and could we pay them 1800.00.

They claimed (AFTER THEY HAD BEEN PAID) that they could not complete the work on they car. The valve body was needed to make the transmission fucntion blah, blah, blah. Could we finance from Johns "friend?" Over and Over calls were made back and forth between me, and my wife to the warranty company, to the transmission place. The warranty company would not budge. They already had an inspector look that the part. Why now is Mr. Transmission saying they part is non-working? Did they tamper with it and hold on to the car for over 6 weeks and continue to pressure us to come up with $1800? After filing a complaint with the better business bureau and many angry phone calls and visits to Allen, miraculously they found us a used vavle body. But then, OH NO! That part was faulty, so they were going get us a brand new one. It took 3 MORE weeks to do this they claimed. After paying the deductible to them and driving my car home, the very next the car was so bad off I couldnt get out of 2nd gear.

I drove my car to the Aamco 1 mile of my house, they determined that the work was shotty on the car and I should take it back there. $85 to tow my car back to the place where the nightmare began. Now I dont know what to do, but I do know I will never do business there ever, and I will continue to file complaints against the company, possibly start a class action lawsuit. I see their pattern is to entice frugal people with no diagnostic charges, tell you one price, tear your car apart and give you a totally different price and try to get you to finance through thier friend and not honor one word.
