Extended Auto Warranty Scam Artists

Recently, I was bamboozled into buying extended auto warranty from these shady people. They go by Pacific Guard Warranty. I picked up the phone from an unrecognized number, which was THE worst mistake i've made in my life.

So from the start, these people use high pressure salesman techniques to induce me into buying extended auto warranty. Had my car not been experiencing problems the past year, I would have never have given it a second thought. Since, I was tired of payin out of pocket for my car, I foolishly gave this company a chance to dupe me into buying extended warranty.

So here's what they did when they called me, they would transfer me at least 4 times to different people acting like it was an important call and displaying the urgency of the situation. Sign 1 that it was fishy.

2nd sign it was fishy, i never heard of the company in my life. They told me they were in business for over 30 years blah blah blah.

3rd sign, i kept telling them that i needed to go home and do some research before i could make my decision, however, they would just not take No for an answer. The chick kept tellin me that she would not be able to offer this SPECIAL RATE for me the next day. Haha. I should have known that it was scam then too.

They also assured me that i had 30 days to cancel the policy if for any reason i did not want it. At this point, i was like "what do i have to lose? Why not?"

Then she threw in there was a cancellation fee, which i had asked to get waived. Reluctantly, she agreed to waive the fee.

Boy was i wrong, i lost my time dealing with these losers and wastes of human beings. Im a full time student, dealing with student loans and have no time or money to waste on

As soon as i went home to do some research on the company, guess what? I google the phone number they called me from and the first search result is RIP OFF REPORT. I was like "OH NO" these a holes! I just got BAMBOOZLED!

I called immediately to cancel.

A few weeks ago, i get a call from them telling me that i need to make payments to them. I was like "yeah right" im not paying u schmucks! Didn't i cancel like 2 months ago. Then they tell me that i didnt fax something to them, which I was never aware of and tell me there gonna send me to a collection agency.

Im a student who really doesnt have time for this BS right now. If anyone is in my shoes please tell me what my options are to deal with these shady people.

I would never wish this upon anybody, this is why im writing this.

Take care and dont get bamboozled!
