Bill Heard Chevrolet
1999 Chevrolet Silverado - ripoff Lemon? You decide... BBB a big joke

Well the Better Business Bureau and GMAC do not think so, what do u think? Please reply with answers. Vehicle bought at Bill Heard Chevrolet in Sanford, Florida ("the world's largest chevrolet dealership").

I am looking to turn to someone that can help, I am willing to do what it takes to win the battle

Below is a story i wrote
LAWYERS this is your chance at positive media

When you buy a vehicle, especially in the state of Florida, they give you all the information possible upon the state lemon law.in Florida, the law states that your vehicle is a lemon if you it has been out of service 30 days or more, or a if the same problem has occurred over three times in a two year period, or before 24K miles.

Now whats the problem? I buy a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 4.3 Liter V6 4X4 from BILL HEARD CHEVROLET in SANFORD, FL "The world's largest Chevrolet Dealer" in which I have my first problem at approximately 8K miles, so basically in the first two months of owning my vehicle.

My first problem is the vehicles steering and tires. The tires made the truck very unstable in wet weather, and being in Florida that cannot be too good. I have had several vehciles including trucks, and I know the backend tend to slide, but the condition of the silverado was much worse, it almost felt like I was driving on ice. The steering column felt like it was going to fall apart. It usually happened when taking a left turn, it almost felt like a constant bump in the steering. The service manager told me that he could not find anything wrong, so he told me if it happens again to bring it back.

The tire situation, they service manager told me that the dealership nor the manufacturer are responsilbe for the tires., I must go to Goodyear tires to see if they can help. Well, when I went to Goodyear they told me that the dealership is responsible for the tires, so I went out and bought four
USED Bridgestone Dueler A/T's with app 10K miles on em, which work GREAT! With this truck, no longer playing slip and slide!
Here is a summary of my problems in which meet all requirements of the Florida lemon law:
-Steering, same problem three time (problem existing)
-Tires, brought in twice for help - non lemon law issue
-A/C failed, brought in four times - (problem fixed)
-Sealbelts, brought in twice for recall repair (thats another story!)
-Brake Line recall, twice for repair (fixed)
-Transfer case/4X4, brought in three times for repair, going on a 4th time (problem still exists!)
-Vehicle has been out of service for a total of 33 days in which GMAC wants to argue upon because they say the invoices that the dealership sent me, maybe not be correct, because it takes a day or two to process an invoice. Too bad for them, that is takes that so long, I recently spoke to a real good friend who works for Volvo, and he states that he would be fired if the invoices were not done same day, because of the lemon law. His boss knows the real deal, what you put on paper is valid especially when you company signs it.

-Have complained several times, all I wanted was help with my vehicle nothing more, until now!
-Have made numerous complaints to Chevrolet 800.222.1020, in which nothing has evolved from these complaints, what is this line anyway? What does it do? Probably nothing.
-I feel unsafe in this vehicle!

-i brought my truck in for a final attempt at service twice!!!
Now I did go through the proper procedures to Lemon Law my vehicle. I worked through the Better Business Bureau which has been a joke! - in this case.

On June 4, i went to arbitration with the vehicle manufacturer. There was an arbitrator there hired by the BBB, this is an informal court like case (case #CHV0156970-1R),
the arbitrator explained to me that Chevrolet hires arbitrator and the BBB to decide what vehicles are considered lemons' - HAHAHA, this is a joke!

They hire a mediator to decide? What about the law? Doesn't the law decide?

Correct me if I am wrong, but not all laws are made to be broken
especially in the United States. I did not have a lawyer represent me because every lawyer in Florida wanted a minimum of $3000 dollars to represent me for 1 hour, another joke, because I was involved in an auto accident in 1996, in which my lawyer won my case, and represented me for about a year for $3300.00. LAWYERS if you want publicity I will find it for you, thats my sepcialty. If you help someone out, hell they might help you out. If you need a great personal injury lawyer, Charles Dodson, Tallahassee FL - one of the best people I have ever met in my life so far.

Well, I am sure you can figure out the result of the arbitration,
that's right. The BBB and Chevrolet do not think that vehicle repurchase by the manufacturer is a sufficient resolution to my problem, now I have to appeal there decision, and continue to play games, oh and by the way my 4X4/transfer case is not working properly again! Amazing, I thought they
fixed that.

Check this out, the BBB has sent me a letter that is an acceptance or rejection of decision. They will vehicle repurchase, so I will reject the decision. One catch to this
If i reject the decision. I understand this means:

1 I may pursue other legal remedies under state or FEDERAL law

2 something about presenting in prospective cases

3 the business will not be obligated to perform any part of the decision; and,

4 MY FAVORITE! This will end Better Business Bureau involvment in my case

#4 what the hell!!! I thought they were on the side of the Consumer. You ask me, this Better Business Bureau agency is good for nothing, time to move on, and demand that this agency be auditted.

I may as well give up, right - nope "not gonna be able to do" I am not stopping here! Even if i get a new vehicle, I wont stop, someone needs to fight back, and here i am!
I am looking for those with Chevrolet, BBB, and Lemon Law problems.

My webpage may be back up soon as soon as my web server is back up too. I will soon be handing out lemons and lemonade to passing drivers in front of Bill Heard Chevrolet of Sanford, FL on state road 46 and I-4 on the weekends with my friends hopefully in front of news cameras (orlando is a big place!). My vehicle is easy to see, if you see me driving in Orlando do not hesitate to check it out and speak out. Join me on my Quest for sucess.
