Had a fuel leak on my 1997 Mercedes Diesel and took it Mozart's Garage. I have cranes with diesel engines and told the technican that while the injector was removed to check it on a test bench to be sure it wasn't the problem. Mozart's Garage elected to not test that injector and reinstalled it and the problem persisted.
They removed the injector again and replaced it with a reconditioned injector charging for duplicate labor. The orginal labor quote was changed on the work order by an extra hour and an additional 3 hours was added to perform the work that was supposed to be done the first time.
Also the parts prices were inflated over list retail prices. Hoses that are $15.00 per meter were billed at $44.00 per meter. This was consistant over the whole invoice. Also because of the death of my brother and disputing the bill with Steve ClarkeI couldn't pick up the car until 20 days after the work was completed.
He charged an additional $200.00 for storage. Ther were no storage conditions on the contract. Also they did not put an estimate price bt only did so verbally.
