Based on the image and reputation of this vendor and the fact that they billed themselfs as a restorer. I purchased a collector car and paid for it via wire transfer. The car had been advertised on Ebay and depicted on the Harwood Enterprises website using low resolution photos. Upon inspection of the vehicle, I discovered that inspite of specific answers to exact questions regarding the condition of an expensive collector car, the truth was quite different. I am a seasoned car collector and have purchased many many collector cars. The so called "restored" car was an old repainted pig. The car at some point in its life recieved an, at best amature repaint and some cheap chrome work. Roger Corea (the owner) said that restored was a "subjective term". This was a $45,500.00 transaction. The car was represented as having excelant panel fit and a straight body. I also had conversations with Marc Corea (salesman/son of Roger) regarding the wiring harness which was represented as being replaced. It had not been. Other problems included a patched up from the inside amature redone convertable top that didn't fit nor seal to the windows.
Ultimatly I recieved a commitment from Roger for a refund. He then tried to recant his offer. I ended up having a lawyer recover $42,500.00. A small hit, compared to the beating I would have taken had I been forced to fix the problems with the car.
