I gifted a car, the new owners, who lived in Las Vegas, took it there. I live in S. California. I transfered the car to their name thru the Ca. DMV, but the new owers did not register it in NV. After having it there for approx 6 months, the car was towed, and after being in storage for approx 2 months, it was sold at auction and there was an extra bill (maybe the towing company is part of Rickenbacker, (united road service, DBA quality towing).. I was notified that I had a bill for 1800.00 plus dollars. I gave the rickenbacker group the name of the persons that the car was gifted to, but they have not done anything, except harras me with phone calls and have put it on my credit report... So far I have had NO luck with getting this matter taken care of... I will be contacting the Attorney General of california, if no action is taken on Rickenbacker's part. I have given the Rickenbacker Collection Service, the names, addresses, and places of employment of the persons that the car was gifted to..
