Never should of stepped foot in cactus jacks

I purchased a vehicle from Cactus Jacks despite my visit to this website and viewing all the negative testimonials, my mistake. I was in need of a car and saw that i could put $500 down on a vehicle and drive away with no credit check involved. Sounds good? Not really. I bought this car on a sunday, the salesmans name was barry gianfrancisco, seemed like a nice guy at first. Anyway, since it was a sunday the service center was not open so i drove the car off the lot without any inspection. Ive driven the car around for about a week until i was able to stop in and have it inspected. Upon the return of my car i noticed the dashboard was ripped half out which seemed kind of funny but i just carried on. So i finished making my down payment and a couple of bi-weekly payments until i started running into some serious issues.

It was about a month and a half upon owning this car was when i was driving on the freeway and with no warning the temperature gauge starts rising, wierd. So i drove it a little further when out of nowhere fluids spew onto my windshield and starts smoking. Car had to be towed. I called cactus jacks to have the car taken into their service center the following day. Second mistake. They had the car in the center for a little over five days (and i had no phone calls made to me about the status of the repair) i initiated the call to their service center and they tell me the car was ready. So i have my girlfriend pick up the vehicle and come pick me up from work.

Not even 25 minutes later my girlfriend calls me and tells me shes stuck at the QT because the car overheated and it blew again. (you could only imagine my frustration at this point) so i go over to QT and ask my girl for the car keys... Wait... These werent my original car keys. Turns out they claim they lost my original car keys with my house key on it and had another one made (now i feel real uncomfortable) so i go to clean out my car and behold, my contents in my trunk are missing as well! (steamed)

I call cactus jacks and have them pick up the car once more. This time it sits in the shop for ten days and meanwhile our account manager is calling me asking for payments and that i have to stay current no matter what (really?) i continued to tell her i was not paying for something thats not operable and she says she will work with me and push back the due dates on these payments, fine.

I get a call from cactus jacks while im at work and its BARRY! Yaaaaay! He tells me that the car is ready and to come pick it up. (3rd times a charm right? Wrong.) once again im at work so my girlfriend goes to pick the car up. Turns out they made a mistake and had the cars confused so the car that was supposed to be done wasnt even mine. Wow. So i asked my girl to call cactus jacks to check the status of my car and they tell me the car is no good. Which shouldnt have taken a week and a half to come to that conclusion. So i go down there and see a gentleman named bob, one of the sales people. I begin to ask where my car is and to get my personal belongings out of the car because of the stuff that was missing before made me feel very uncomfortable. He takes me back there into the service center before they close and my car was not back there. Surprise!

My final visit to Cactus Jacks wasnt as pleasant, i was asking for my property back from them. Service center is closed on the weekends (how convenient) i asked them where my car was and good ol barry tells me he cant go back there because they are closed. Really? Manager barry? BOB was able to. At this point ive called the police up there because i was really upset and wanted my stuff. Before the police show up BARRY comes out to me and basically says theres nothing i can do, and "who do you think the police are going to believe?" with a cocky tone in his voice. He suggested lets just cut the ties and claim it as a voluntary repossession. What!!?? Im out $1300 and no car to show for it and he wants me to just let this go.

At this point i knew that these people were hiding something. While i was standing there i see my best friends chrysler pulling in on a tow truck. Broke down earlier that day. Blown transmission. Oh did i not mention? I referred my friend up there to the camelback location. Same place, same salesman, the good BARRY. As the truck pulls into the service yard my girl walks up and asks him if he knew where my car is. Quote "oh i took that to the auction awhile back" "but dont tell them i told you because i can get into trouble." that is where i am with this company at this point. I am currently looking to file a lawsuit against this company to get back my 1300 ive put into this car already. I have never dealt with such lying incompetent people in my life. How they are in business is beyond me but i hope they aren't for very long. The staff is ridiculous and will only be nice if you are buying.

Please read this article before you consider going to CACTUS JACKS. Every bit of detail is the absolute truth from top to bottom. Ive read other stories from that dealership and still decided to go and this is the situation ive ended up in.

Also see their score on the better business bureau website as well. This company is getting away with too much and it needs to stop.
