Robb Billups Ripoff from Van Hyundai of

This complaint concerns the dealer add-ons that total $1,497, but were not on the vehicle during purchase.

Talked with Robb Billups, GM about reimbursement from Van for the amount of $1,497, but he refused. We contacted Hyndai of America and New Car Dealers Association of Metropolitan Dallas, Inc. For assistance, but no help came.

During our purchase of the Tucson we requested these items be removed from the vehicle, but the sales staff refused. None of the dealer add-ons were removed from the purchased price. After arriving at home with the vehicle, we checked it over and found the after market items were not on the car as indicated

* Pinstripe ($299) - As verified by visiting two Dallas area Hyundai dealers and also at Van Hyundai, this pin strip was originally placed on the vehicle by the manufacture at no cost. Van did not place this pinstripe on the car, but they inflated the price indicated they
did.

* Theft Guard ($599) - This theft guard was NEVER placed on the car, but it was included in the negotiated price.

* Nitrogen tires ($599) - After inquiring about nitrogen in tires it was determined that no nitrogen was added to the tires. The tires should have colored caps to identify; there are no caps on the tires.
Also, the cost to deflate and add nitrogen to tires average about $6 - $10/tire. We inquired from Van the cost to deflate tires and add nitrogen and quoted $39.95/all tires.
