Okay, my husband (at the time fiance) and I went to Golf Mill Ford to trade my car in for something bigger (we have two little boys.) When we got there, of course, they got information from me to obtain my credit report (which ain't perfect), and told me I will need a co-signer. So my husband agree to being my co-signer. The finance agent said that I would be the buyer and he will be the co-buyer.
Now for one the car they put me in was a 2002 ford escort, that was all they can put me in for now. My trade in was a Kio Rio. They hiked up the price of the escort, had me sign to trade in the car, but put my husband name as the buyer. I didn't sign anything.
They had him sign two intallment contract, and only gave us one (the first one with the info on it, the second one was blank). I asked the finance manager why did he have him sign a blank one, and he said because they were gonna call different banks and then re-do the contract, with both names. But he didn't have me sign.
Anyways, we left with the new car, and when we got home I called my mom to ask her. She said the whole sale didn't sound right (figuring she's a accountant for a car dealership) So the next morning I called Golf Mills Ford to see if I can bring the car back because it was a fishy sale.
They told me no, because I drove 28 miles to get home that night, and if i bring it back, it wouldn't sale. I told them that they were F.O.S. Plus they said they had us financed, but according to Ford Motor Credit they didn't have us financed until a week later.
I called the finance manager back and asked him for a copy of the blank contract and he told me he didn't have a copy, he sent everything to Ford Motor. Ford Motor Credit don't have anything. And now the car was repo, and we have some lawyer trying to collect a debt, but don't have documents on the contract or anything, but they want money...
