Autozone, bad customer service

Some time ago I bought an oil pressure gauge at autozone, it came missing some washers, went back to the store to get the washer or the whole item replaced for a complete set, my set was still like new, i did not install it, it was only opened. So the guy at the store told me they did not have a similar washer, which I was willing to buy, so I said if you don't have the washer then replace my product for one that is complete. This guy at autozone said no, but instead he suggested I buy another one? If their product is incomplete or defective it should've been replaced no questions asked. So I had to call a manager to a higher level from autozone and he was more fair on that and gave me instructions to go back and get the product replaced at the same store.

Just more recently I bought a tool that didn't quite work as intended, went back just 30 minutes later and they wouldn't give the money back, it always the same old story that one has to speak to a manager or somebody else.

From now on I do keep my receipts, make sure to buy only what I need and that it has warranty. I won't deny in some other occasiones they had honored warranties. But they are not quite customer service oriented as I recall they were when they first opened.

In one incident with a battery that I bought from them, which was not charging, it upseted me that when I told that they refused to believe me, implying that I was lying, so I had to drive the car to them and show them with a voltmeter, only until then they replaced the battery.
