Reno Motors
Sold us a Lemon

My husband and I went to Reno Motors in 2004. We just moved there from Tennessee due to my husband being in the Navy. We got the 1994 Honda Civic Sedan, Blue, with a dent on one side, paint faded, and hole in the bumper on the back right corner, i think. Well we are not sure of the amount the car was for, but we did get tricked into getting the Home Repossession Device they put on the car, saying that it was a Car Alarm System. It wasn't nowhere near Car Alarm System, it was a device that kept you from starting up your car if you was late or didn't make a payment on it. I was pregnant at the time and it scared me to death because my husband had an allotment set up for them to get there payment on the first of every month. Once they get the payment they will send us our receipt of the payment along with the codes to program into the device. What scared me was when they received the payment we didn't get our new code. So we drove the car until it beeped down to the last day. Yes, it beeps. That's how you know how many days you have left until the payment is due... Silly ain't it? Well, no, its more like frustrating and frightening at the same time. Well anyhoo, the head gasket blew after we had the car for like a year. Maybe we play some part in it too, I'm not blaming them for that. But we made a payment on a lemon of 400.00 a month and it wasn't worth it. We got the car fixed and couldn't sell it because of the device. We just wanted to get out of the car. We had a volunteer repossession done. We didn't want to do it, but we had to do something. Maybe they needed the money more than we did. Now we have a Repossession on our credit report after I called and told them to make sure it said Volunteer Repossession. It looks worst when it just say Repo. How can something get repossessed and they got paid on the first of every month? Right... Think about it... They were willing to rip people off. I thought that we was being taken care of because we was MILITARY. So I guess we get cheated, disrespect at any cost. People please listen to me do not go to these folks! They will give you junk to drive when you thought you was getting a deal. Can we get our money back for what we put into it? Idk.
