An Intake Spacer was purchased from Steeda & was advertised to fit my 2007 Ford Focus. Upon installation of the product, we found that this spacer was not compatible with our vehicle. We contacted Steeda and their first response was to insinuate that we should 'make it fit'. Upon our insistence that this part was not compatible, they said to send it back and they would refund us. This was reasonable in our opinion. We proceeded to send the part, with all proper documentation back to Steeda.
A few days later the Spacer appeared at our door, saying that Steeda had rejected its shipping. Upon calling them, they cited that they returned to sender, b/c we had not written the "return #" on the box. We were shocked, as this had NEVER been mentioned in many prior conversations.
Another inconvenience as a result of their mis-advertisement. Nonetheless, we put the "Return #" on the exterior of the box and paid yet again (third time) to have it shipped back to Steeda. About 6 days later we were told that the item was not "packaged correctly" and that this ALLEGEDLY resulted in a Small nick. I disputed this, as I sell on EBay and am very familiar with proper packaging techniques. Because of this "nick", we were told we would receive none of the purchase price or 3 shipping costs we had paid. Had this product been advertised correctly this all could have been avoided. They have since changed their website to say it is only for "2008" models. We feel used and cheated.
